About Katherine Cornforth, MD

Katherine Cornforth, MD, is a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Cornforth provides high quality care to all her patients at Cornforth Gynecology and Medspa in San Antonio, Texas. She has been in practice in San Antonio since 2010. 

Dr. Cornforth grew up in El Paso and earned her bachelor's degree in Microbiology at the University of Texas at El Paso. After college, she did a post-baccalaureate fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). 

While at the NIH, Dr. Cornforth worked in Immunology research at the main campus in Bethesda, Maryland. She also worked in vaccine development and malaria research with the NIH in Bamako, Mali, in West Africa.

She returned to Texas to attend medical school and earned her medical doctorate at the University of Texas - Houston Medical School. She completed her internship and residency training at New York Downtown Hospital in the heart of Lower Manhattan, New York City, New York.

She has worked in small and large group physician practices in San Antonio for over 11 years. In November 2021, she opened her practice to provide the level of care she desires for her patients and spend more time with family.

Dr. Cornforth is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also a member of the North American Menopause Society, the Bexar County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association. 

She is trained in robotic surgery and performs robotic minimally invasive surgery. 

Dr. Cornforth adores spending time with her husband and daughter outside of work. They love traveling, swimming, bike riding, reading, and exploring nature together. While building this new solo practice, they have enjoyed reconnecting with their San Antonio and El Paso families and friends.

She warmly welcomes all patients into the practice and looks forward to caring for them.
