Bartholin's Cyst

The Bartholin's glands are located on both sides of the vaginal opening (labia majora) and serve to lubricate the vagina. When it becomes obstructed, a Bartholin's cyst can form due to the fluid becoming backed up. If the cyst becomes infected, an abscess may form.
